LANCopy v.2.0 LANCopy v.2.0 is a Windows program designed specifcally for large and/or multiple LAN/WAN file transfers. LANCopy is SHAREWARE provided with no warranty of any kind. You may copy and distribute LANCopy freely provided the program and this text file remain unmodified. (LANCOPY.EXE and LANCOPY.TXT) Notes: 1. LANCopy requires the VBRUN300.DLL. If you do not already have this file, you can download it from the Microsoft forum on Compuserve. This file should be placed in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory on your computer. LANCopy will not run if this file is not present. 2. Be sure to copy the attached GAUGE.VBX, SPIN.VBX, and THREED.VBX files the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory on your workstation. LANCopy will NOT run if these files are not present. 3. File transfer statistics are not displayed for files smaller than 32,000 bytes. 4. Files are copied to their selected destination using their original file name (C:\THISFILE.TXT copied to D:\THISFILE.TXT), therefore the multi-select feature is disabled in the destination file listbox. You may use the destination file listbox to view a files date and time stamps, as well as size. 5. Files which are Read-Only ( DOS or NetWare attributes ) will not be overwritten during a transfer. The next version of LANCopy will address this. 6. LANCopy reads/writes data in 32K blocks. There are no API's or hooks used in LANCopy to detect the presence of Novell's Burst Mode protocol, however LANCopy is compatible with, and benefits from the use of Novell's Burst Mode client shells and protocol. 7. All statistics provided by LANCopy, and the calculations used to derive them have been verified by several sources. Data transfer rates are displayed in Kilobytes per second, not kilobits per second. You can multiply the displayed data transfer rate by 1024 to determine the data transfer rate in kilobits per second. Registration: LANCopy can be registered via Compuserve using the Shareware registration service. ( GO SWREG, Registration ID 2287 ). Support: Please address all requests for additional information, features, and support to Ed DeBus on Compuserve Mail (ID 75730,2403).
